DMD operates from a strict commitment to our environment. We prioritize the repurpose and reuse of technology for the good of our world and our clients. For items that are beyond repair, refurbishment. We first attempt to harvest any usable components that may be repurposed and introduced into the circular economy. From there, we recycle. To do this responsibly, we adhere to all federal and state legislation, plus science-based recommendations to best protect our world.

E-Waste

E-waste, or Electronics Waste, is electronic items with no residual value for full reuse or repurpose. Improper disposal of these items contaminates our world. We offer collection, removal, and disposal. We dismantle the product into its base parts, components, and materials.

Raw Materials

The most effective way to recycle is to break down the item to its base materials. We perform the labor-intensive work to dismantle and sort IT assets into raw materials like steel, aluminum, plastic, circuit boards, etc. Items like circuit boards are then sent to specialty dismantlers who harvest microprocessors and further smelted to recover the precious metals.

Hazardous Materials

While we prefer not to receive hazardous materials, we recognize when we commit to help our clients COMPLETELY, we fulfill that commitment.

For items like CRTs, PCBs, we have specific ways to handle or additional vendors that we utilize so you don't have to worry, and the compliant disposal is guaranteed.

Responsible Recycling, or R2, is the leading standard for electronics repair and recycling.

The R2 Standard provides a common set of processes, safety measures, and documentation requirements for businesses that repair and recycle used electronics. R2 is rigorously and independently audited, emphasizing quality, safety, and transparency.

DMD was first certified in 2012 and has continuously innovated to generate greater safety and outcomes.

We believe it is important to utilize certified providers for ITAD services, as independent third-party audits are a must.

DMD adheres to the R2 ethos of reuse whenever possible and is proud to adhere and evangelize a zero landfill policy.
